Product Description

The Spark Plasma Sintering (SPS) equipment is a novel powder metallurgy sintering process device that loads metal or other powders into a mold made of graphite or other materials. It applies specific power pulse currents and pressing pressures to the sintered powders using upper and lower punches and energized electrodes, completing the fabrication of high-performance materials through discharge activation, thermoplastic deformation, and cooling.

Working Principle

The Spark Plasma Sintering (SPS) equipment operates by placing metal or other powders into a mold crafted from graphite or similar materials. Utilizing upper and lower punches along with energized electrodes, it imposes specific power pulse currents and pressing forces onto the powders undergoing sintering. This process culminates in the creation of high-performance materials via discharge activation, thermoplastic deformation, and subsequent cooling.

Features

This series of Spark Plasma Sintering systems fully considers the automation and controllability of the sintering process. Automatic program control systems for sintering temperature, pressure control, and current control are standard configurations of the equipment. The equipment is equipped with a safety shutdown feature that automatically stops the machine when abnormal water temperatures, mold damage, or other unexpected conditions are detected. It also includes a data acquisition and analysis system that can save and recall process parameters crucial to the quality of the sintered product, such as sintering voltage, current, control temperature, applied pressure, displacement, vacuum degree, displacement change rate, and measured temperature, enabling traceability of the product manufacturing process.

The equipment employs a self-developed pulse variable frequency DC power supply, significantly reducing power consumption compared to traditional SPS systems of the same class, thereby achieving truly effective energy-saving, consumption-reducing, and environmentally friendly high-quality sintering production.
With a front-opening, water-cooled vacuum sintering chamber, loading and unloading workpieces, as well as maintenance and repair tasks within the chamber, are facilitated with ease.
A large liquid crystal touch control panel allows for real-time self-diagnosis and confirmation of displacement data, interlock status displays, alarm displays, alarm histories, and set values for pressing pressure.
To prevent misoperations of the equipment's various buttons or keys, a safety interlock function is incorporated, ensuring even novice operators can use the machine with confidence.
